Uniform

It is our policy that all children should wear school uniform, a high standard of personal appearance is expected of all pupils. We believe that uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school and helps set an appropriate tone. It instils pride,  supports positive behaviour and protects children from social pressures to dress a particular way. We believe that if you take pride in your appearance you will also take  the same pride in your studies.

Hair should be worn in a simple, neat style with no ‘cult’ cuts, including ‘tramlines’; natural hair colour should be worn during term time.

Make-up is not permitted (for instance, mascara, eyeliner, blusher, lipstick and coloured nail varnish).

Jewellery is restricted to one pair of small plain gold/silver studs and a wristwatch. Permission may be given to wear other jewellery for religious reasons. We do not accept any responsibility for jewellery brought into school.
